Titans quarterback Vince Young on Tuesday was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week for his gutsy performance against the Arizona Cardinals last Sunday at LP Field.
Young threw for a career-high 387 yards in the Titans’ 20-17 come-from-behind victory – a comeback that was completed on the last play of the game after a long drive.
Starting on their own one-yard line with 2:37 remaining in the game, Young led the Titans on an 18-play, 99-yard drive and completed the go-ahead 10-yard touchdown to rookie wide receiver Kenny Britt as time expired.
The Titans offense converted three fourth downs during the final drive en route to their fifth consecutive victory (which follows six straight losses to open the season).
Young completed a career-high 27 passes on 43 attempts, including three passes over 25 yards and a long of 51 yards.
